Who builds the tools

Gizmetto is made and maintained by Nabeel, a web developer who wanted audio tools that open instantly, work on a phone and respect your privacy.

Why they exist

A good audio tool should work the moment the page loads. On Gizmetto, the tool is the first thing on every page: tap Start and it works. There is no account, no app and no download, and every tool works on a phone as well as on a computer.

The tools are free to use.

How your audio is processed

The tools use the Web Audio API, which is built into every modern browser. All the work happens on your device.

• A tool that needs the microphone asks for it only after you tap Start.
• The microphone turns off when you tap Stop or leave the page.
• Sound from the microphone is analyzed in your browser and then discarded.
• Nothing is uploaded or stored. The mic test keeps a 5 second recording in the tab only until you stop.
• The camera test shows the picture on your screen only. Nothing is recorded or sent.
• The speaker, headphone and sound tests only play sound.

How the tools are tested

Each tool is being tested by hand on iPhone, Android, Windows and Mac, with speakers, wired headphones and Bluetooth earbuds. The devices and browsers each tool was checked on will be listed here.
